When ArshaSafe, a YouTuber passionate about exploring the outdoors and creating engaging video content with his friends, approached me to help solidify his brand identity, he was managing multiple social media platforms—YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. However, there was little cohesion between them. My goal was to create a unified visual identity that would tie together all of his content, while reflecting his love for Toronto, swimming, and adventures with friends who often played characters in his videos.

Establishing a Brand Identity

The first step was to develop a color palette and design language that captured Arsha's essence. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant energy of Toronto and his passion for nature, I created a palette that mixed cool tones, representing water and outdoor exploration, with bold accents to reflect the city's urban landscape. This color scheme became the foundation for all his visuals across platforms.

Instagram: Story Icons and Cohesion

As Arsha prepared to launch his Instagram account, he needed a set of story icons—small circular thumbnails that would visually categorize his story highlights. I designed a series of icons that not only aligned with his brand but also clearly represented the themes of each story collection, from swimming adventures to behind-the-scenes footage.

SafeTalks: Podcast Cover Design

Around this time, Arsha launched a new podcast called SafeTalks, where he discussed personal experiences and topics related to his YouTube content. I created the cover design for his podcast, ensuring it maintained the visual consistency we had established while also standing out as its own entity.

YouTube Thumbnails: Turning Challenges into Engagement

As a YouTuber, Arsha often asked for help with his video thumbnails. The images he provided were sometimes not ideal for the platform—poor lighting, awkward compositions, or low resolution. I took pride in transforming these images into engaging and effective thumbnails that not only attracted clicks but also communicated the essence of his videos.

By building a cohesive brand identity for ArshaSafe, I helped him create synergy across all his platforms, ensuring his audience had a consistent and engaging experience, whether watching his YouTube videos, listening to his podcast, or following his Instagram stories.
